Franklin Adams
Franklin Adams (1933-2008) was a prolific artist, architect, designer, and professor whose cross-media works spanned painting, sculpture, illustration, and costume and set design. He was also active in graphic and interior design. Although born and raised in Florida, Franklin lived and worked in New Orleans for 50 years both as a professor of art and architecture at Tulane University and as a successful independent artist. His last body of work, exhibited in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, was a collection of drawings of clothing and accessories entitled Layers of Intimacy.
